Hello everyone. A new week is here and so am I with my latest prose. July was too busy with so many renovations going on- the website, the store and the launch of the new collection. Now we are back in action and August is going to be loaded with posts once again.
August is the month I was born in and as my birthdate approaches, so does my excitement. Every year, this is the day I set new goals for the coming 365 days. Last year has been amazing in its own ways and a little sad on the other hand too. I lost my Grand father to cancer and my granny passed away too in agony of her lost beloved. Talking about the crests it’s been a great year as IN MY CLOTHES hatched, the Shruti S store has a new look, I made new friends, and so on.
In today’s post I wear an elaborate two piece dress from my label Shruti S. This ensemble is from the latest collection KALASIRIS. While designing the dress I imagined a princess standing in the balcony or at the attic, flaunting herself while waiting for her beloved. I tried to keep my inspiration intact for both- the attire and the final pictures.
Talking about the ensemble, the torso is heavily embellished with zari, dori, and glass beads and is attached to a sheer flared gown. It is paired with a silk, heavy flared crinoline skirt. Extremely light weight, this dress can be picked for a number of occasions and can be worn by a woman of any age.
Last week, I was invited to a house party at one of my friend’s mansion. Trust me, first time in a very long time did I come across a property so beautiful for a home. Famous as the glass house, her home had everything I imagined when i pictured this dress. So it took me no time to decide where i had to shoot it for this post. The balcony, the attic, the walls, the stairs gelled perfectly with the attire and kept my inspiration intact.
