Black is every wardrobe’s staple no matter how substantial or adequate the wardrobe is. The international runways were seen flooded with all-black collections for the coming season – and all-black is never too much. From Vera Wang to Calvin Klein, designers rocked the whole-black collections in every genre of clothing.
My warm greetings to everyone. As the monsoons terminate, the temperatures have started to rise. As for me, I had a lazy day today. I slept a lot, had loads of ice-cream, watched a marathon of movies from “Gone Girl” to “Hunger Games” followed by a Bollywood blockbuster “Haider”. Even right now, I am multi-tasking – writing the post and watching “Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets”. (By the way, I am a die-hard fan of Harry Potter series. Thanks to J.K. Rowling for introducing us to such a fantasy).
Talking about black, the obsidian look is a classic and it represents so many tiers of clothing- chic, formal, mourning, corporate etc. In my recent look, I married a black silk couture shirt to scuba tights. Sometimes mix and match is necessary for an ensemble to be congruous to a locale. The other day, when I had to attend a semi-formal meeting, I thought of styling up my latest silk shirt from own label with something out from my closet. Wearing a shirt with a pair of jeans is too cliche, with a pair of trousers – too formal, and with a pair of shorts – Naaaa!!
So, there I went, Straight haired, kohl-ish eyes, dark wine lip color, in black formal block heels and with a black quilted bag.
P.s. It feels awesome when you get ready for a meeting but also squeeze out time to shoot. It’s like sending two emails in one click.. HAHA!!
