Lounge and luxury – two words when used together can hallucinate anyone into an ambience of unadulterated comfort and opulence. Long gone are the days, when loungewear was a synonym to clothing meant only for housing or gymming or just staying in. With this new tier of clothing, called “Luxury-loungewear”, getting more and more popular, it has become easier for women to look modern and stylish without having to compromise on their comfort. A big thanks to this modern day’s trend for changing the phrase “pain for beauty” to “comfort in beauty” for the image-conscious women.
As we manoeuvre from cotton pyjamas and hosiery sweatshirts and categorise this kind of loungewear into “Luxury”, its time to go avant-garde. For this prose, when I intended on flaunting my sumptuous style of loungewear, I created an olive-green Thai-pants in silk, with pin-tucked constructed camisole crop-top, and a crocheted all-weather coverup.
Umm!! B’bye mundane cotton..
Hello everyone..! Its always challenging to dress up in a way that befits anything and everything we do – which might be a reason for the growth in popularity of this clothing bracket.
Like so many modern-day working women, even my day comprehends disparate activities. From attending official meetings, to appointments with my clients, taking care of the labour in the manufacturing unit, sketching or writing in my workspace, instructing the employees, travelling, or meeting a friend or two over lunch or a cup of joe. Perfect pick for me is a concoction of a crop top or a camisole with a pair of culottes or thai-pants styled with a cover-up. Trust me, it can never make you feel out-of-the-place.
To shoot for this prose, we chose a chic, all white and grey ambience of The Altius Hotel in Chandigarh. White blinds, polished glasses, mirror-tops, grey ultra-comfy couches, the silver-ball hangings on the ceiling and rich artefacts placed as table accessories – the interiors so exemplary that one would not want to leave the chamber for a moment.
Creating every story with perfection is too taxing. But the memories, the output, the acceptance by you all and thus, the applaud and admiration, makes it worth the efforts. xoxo..
