Juliet – A tragic heroine from the epic love saga written by Shakespeare in late 1500’s. The novel sketched her as a quiet and obedient girl who possessed inner strengths and maturity beyond her age. When she falls in love with Romeo, she is ready to defy her parents and marry him in secret. She also refuses to marry the rich and good looking “Paris” with whom her wedlock was arranged. Juliet is adamant in her decision to die rather than enter into a false marriage, as in one of the acts she says ”If all else fail, myself have power to die”.
My warm greetings to everyone. As valentines day approach and couples all around the globe are in awe with the day, I was trying to recall the homeric love tales of all times. The first name that struck my mind was “Romeo-Juliet”. Juliet’s character is so loveable, so tragic, yet so strong. Today, Juliet is not just a character from the history. The urban dictionary defines Juliet as any girl in existence, who is beautiful in every way possible. She is smart – more street smart than book smart. She is hot but not slutty, intelligent but not nerdy. She is a beautiful body and a gorgeous smile. She is sexy, athletic, brainy, loving and knows how to have fun. She might seem intimidating, but that is only because she knows what she wants. Her thought process is so different from others, that she is often seen walking against the crowd. She is the perfect girl and will light up your life the moment you meet her.
No wonders, I call this post “Juliet” as she is my inspiration behind today’s blog. Also, for this year’s valentines, I wanted to shift from “Red” as the “Color of Love” to “Plum” as the “New Color of Love”.
The winter is still on its peak and so I thought of quilting a silk crepe with flowers and twines to create this magnifico constructed tailed gown. The boat-neck front has a sheath-fit with an absolute contrasting back. The ultra low back-neck of the gown lets you flaunt your shoulder blades and back cuts and the constructed long tail enhances the female curves perfectly.
Today’s look is completed with a plum color matt lipstick, kohl-less eye make-up and Medusa curls in the hair. This time around, instead of defining my black eyes with the liner, I left them all natural to let them speak for themselves.
Happy Valentines Day to all.
